Fernando "Tererê" Augusto is a Brazilian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and former professional mixed martial artist. He is known for his aggressive and unorthodox grappling style, which has earned him numerous championships in the sport.
Tererê began his training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 12 under the guidance of master Ricardo de la Riva. He quickly rose through the ranks and became one of the most successful competitors in the sport, winning multiple world championships and other prestigious titles.
In addition to his success in sport Jiu-Jitsu, Tererê also competed in mixed martial arts, with a record of 9 wins and 2 losses. He was known for his flashy striking and relentless ground game, and was a fan favorite for his exciting fights.
Despite facing personal struggles and setbacks in his career, including battles with drug addiction and mental health issues, Tererê has remained a beloved figure in the Jiu-Jitsu community.
